Jurassic World Roars Into the Weekend. Vocabulary and Reading Challenge

It’s been two decades, or 20 years, since the summer blockbuster  Jurassic Park hit theaters, but last weekend dinosaurs ruled the Earth again. Jurassic World  opened and now has the best global opening in history. The fourth film in the series became the highest global opener of all time with mega earnings of $511.8 million in its first days in theaters.

It’s the first time a film has ever grossed more than $500 million in one weekend.  Jurassic World opened at No. 1 in all 66 foreign markets (countries) in which it debuted. Sunday’s international estimate for “Jurassic World” is $307.2  million. Now that’s a big bite!

Chris Pratt is no stranger to big openings. He also starred in the 2014 box office hits Guardians of the Galaxy and The Lego Movie. That’s quite the resume, no? Did you see Jurassic World?
