The 2015 Grammys were held last night in Los Angeles. The star-studded lineup included Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Paul McCartney and Rhianna. Sam Smith owned the night and took home four awards, three of them in major categories: best new artist, song of the year and record of the year for his smash hit “Stay With Me.”

One of the biggest surprises included Beck, who seemed to surprise even himself, by taking the biggest honor of the night as “Morning Phase” won Album of the Year. As Beck accepted his award a stunned audience saw Kanye West try to upstage his own infamous moment as he pretended to hop on stage when Beck accepted his award.

In another unexpected moment Sia belted out “Chandelier” with her face hidden as expected, but what the viewer didn’t see coming was actress Kristen Wiig, in a blond wig dancing with Sia’s sidekick, 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler from the show Dance Moms. The performance stood out and caused a lot of chatter on the internet.

The rest of the show featured quite a few serious performances. Usher’s tribute to Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry’s song dedicated to domestic violence awareness and Beyoncé’s closing performance created a somber night.
