The rumors have been swirling for a while. Now they are true. Nina Dubrov, 26, is leaving The Vampire Diaries.
Nina Dobrev just dropped a bomb that she will be leaving The Vampire Diaries at the end of its current season. The show is currently in it’s 6th season. She posted an emotional goodbye letter and picture on Instagram. Check it out here…

Dobrev spent the weekend with the cast and crew of the show on a holiday on Lake Lanier, Georgia. Some of them posted photos with the hashtag #WeWillMissYouNina on Instagram accounts but removed them a shortly later.
In her Instagram post, Dobrev expressed her views on the show but provided little details on her departure. She said the weekend outing hosted by the cast and crew of “The Vampire Diaries” was actually a “goodbye party” for her.
She also described how she went from being a human to “a vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a doppelganger pretending to be human, and a human pretending to be a doppelganger” on the show.
