The film details are still under wraps. And there is very little known about the new movie, however new images have emerged along with interviews from the J J Abrams in the fall movie preview in Entertainment Weekly. Here are some things that have come to light:
The new trilogy will see the old generation team up with a new generation of heroes to continue their fight against an evil force.
Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) are the three young heroes that will take on the battles of their predecessors. And there’s at least one villain (Kylo Ren), apparently strong in the dark side of the Force, standing in their way.
Luke Skywalker’s old light saber will also play a role in the film.
Most importantly, the story still pits two groups against each other: an oppressive military style government against a small band of freedom fighters.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first big film adventure to a galaxy far, far away in 10 years, is set to premiere on Dec. 18. And the news isn’t going to slow down just a couple of months before the big release so stay tuned for more details as they emerge!
