Who ya gonna call?
Rumors are swirling about the new cast for the upcoming remake of Ghostbusters. The popular movie from the 80s will be remade with an all-female cast, including Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
The excitement was set ablaze by director Paul Feig’s tweet about the four women. He is no stranger to female comedy having directed the hit films Bridesmaids and The Heat.
A nod of approval has already come from one of the original ghost hunters, Dan Aykryod. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “The Aykroyd family is delighted by this inheritance of the Ghostbusters torch by these most magnificent women in comedy.”
No official announcement has been made, but the Hollywood Reporter writes that an announcement will come soon.
