Live from New York! The legendary American show Saturday Night Live turned 40 with a bang. Dozens of current and former Saturday Night Live cast members, hosts and special guests gathered in New York City on Sunday for a live three and a half hour 40th anniversary celebration. The show included every infamous SNL classic skit imaginable.
The night began with an opening song by Jimmy Fallon and, Justin Timberlake. The duo listed famous quotes and memories from the show in their usual fun fashion. Steve Martin gave the traditional SNL monologue.
The star-studded event included appearances by Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Melissa McCarthy, Chris Rock, Peyton Manning, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Adam Sandler just to name a few.
The show also included fantastic music from Miley Cyrus, Paul Simon, Kanye West, Sia, and Paul McCartney.
