Superbowl 50 has come and gone. The Denver Broncos’ victory over the Carolina Panthers was not too surprising…
For those not into American football, here’s a quick recap of the musical moments.
Lady GaGa’s Star Spangled Banner:
The eclectic singer continued to wow with a classy rendition of our nation’s anthem, that was elegant, vulnerable, and soaring. Many called it the best version since the late Whitney Houston’s performance at the 1991 Super Bowl.
The halftime show:
The famous Pepsi-sponsored performance featured Beyonce and Bruno Mars, with Coldplay.
Coldplay was the headlininer, with support from Queen B, fresh off her explosive new single ‘FORMATION’ and the always electric Bruno Mars. Bey, in tow with an army of chic dancers absolutely slayed, alongside Mars. No one can deny the goosebumps from the finale, a rendition of Coldplay’s tear-jerker ‘FIX YOU,’ which featured a montage of former halftime performances, including Michael Jackson.
