After plenty of anticipation from fans, and the star herself, the Zendaya Barbie doll is finally here.
Zendaya hosted the Barbie Rock ‘N Royals Concert Experience on September 26th at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA, where she was proud to debut her new Barbie doll on the red carpet.
“We are so excited to honor Zendaya with this one-of-a-kind doll as she encourages girls to Raise Their Voices and inspires us to #BeSuper,” reads the official Barbie Instagram account.
The doll has special meaning as it replicates Zendaya’s look from the 2015 Oscars Red Carpet, which was part of Oscar controversy when Fashion Police host Giulana Rancic criticized her look.
“When I was little I couldn’t find a Barbie that looked like me, my…how times have changed,” wrote the 19-year-old actress.
“Thank you Barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty.”
