Disney’s newest animated film, “Zootopia,” opened yesterday with a bang. It brought in $1.7 million from shows yesterday evening.
The reviews so far are very positive. According to TheWrap, It currently holds a score of 100 percent on review website Rotten Tomatoes. A perfect score may not sound extraordinary, but when it is based on more than 75 reviews, that’s actually “pretty rare.”
“[More than 75] reviews at 100 percent is very unusual,” Rotten Tomatoes Editor-in-Chief Matt Atchity told TheWrap. “‘Zootopia’ could be on that road to breaking records.”
According to Atchity, the current record holders on the site are “Toy Story 2” (163 reviews, 100 percent), “Man on Wire” (154 reviews, 100 percent), “Finding Nemo” (251 reviews, 98 percent) and “Inside Out” (304 reviews, 98 percent).
