Things Are “Complicated” for April Lavigne. Reading and Vocabulary

Another day, another celebrity couple has a “Complicated” split on their hands. Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have separated after two short years of marriage.

Avril posted the news to Instagram on Wednesday, alongside a picture of the couple in happier times. She told fans that she and Chad will continue to respect and care for one another despite their decision to part ways.

She wrote, “It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.”

Their breakup comes only days after Avril’s first husband, Sum 41 lead singer Deryck Whibley, tied the knot with Ariana Cooper at the Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles. Deryck and Avril divorced in 2010.
